The cluster management operates across a three tier Structure:
- The Principal Management Team consists of the Principals from the six cluster schools and the cluster co-ordinator.
- The Cluster Implementation Team consists of teachers responsible for the Imyms and / or Myprad initiatives in each cluster school.
- School / Cluster based Professional Action Learning Teams (PALT's) responsible for developing and implementing the action research in each of the key focus areas. The size and composition of these teams will vary according to the number of schools involved in the action area, and the numbers of staff representing each school.
Cluster Co-ordination
The management of the cluster is supported by the employment of a cluster co-ordinator. During 2005 this position is staffed at a 0.8 EFT allocation.
The role of the co-ordinator consists of the following duties:
- To act as an executive officer to the Principal Management Team, providing administrative support and contextual information to the Team discussions.
- To lead, convene, guide and mentor the members of the cluster implementation Team as appropriate to support cluster initiatives.
- To participate within, guide and mentor as appropriate Cluster Professional Action Learning Teams to support the development and implementation of cluster initiatives.
- To identify, link and facilitate appropriate professional learning activities to support Palt initiatives.
- To co-ordinate the management of the cluster resources and manage the cluster budget.
- Work across and within the cluster schools to help identify cluster initiatives, and to facilitate their implementation within the cluster management structure.
- To liase with Deakin University and / DET to co-ordinate the implementation of both the Imyms and Myprad projects across cluster schools.
- To establish review and evaluation processes across cluster initiatives and to report these outcomes to the PMT as agreed upon, and to DET and external facilitators as required.
